@MrJonslife yes, sorry~ I have misunderstood you~

@msckitten Hey you have misunderstood, because I was referring to the western society, not the chinese. :) In this case, while I do not support China's lack of human rights too, I really support the rise of china, because it is a pride of Asia to tell the world that Asia is not a 'sick human'. The west does not seem to understand the chinese cultures and values, and will always criticise the chinese if they do something the west believe isnt right, thats why i say sometimes they are too egoistic

@MrJonslife And I do not want to offend, but since 1840 China did not stop being invaded until 1949 (although after that most chinese do not live well until recent years). So many people were killed, rape or robbed. Old Summer Palace was burned. Most precious antique and arts are robbed. So I guess you may understand if Chinese do not like people especially western people involved in their issues.

@MrJonslife Sometime it is because Chinese do not like people especially those do not really know them to comment on them. There is significant difference on outlook on life, world among different countries, especially when th situation is west vs east, big vs small or old vs new. Moreover sometimes, western people even do not give us a chance to explain, eg nobody has ever consider to think, only think Chinese view of Tibetan problem and insist tibetan are treated like second-class citizens.

@russiangymfan i very agree with you. Sometimes they themselves are a very ego bunch of people, and they dont seem to know it. They always tell others, "accept constructive criticism", "you are living in denial". But when we criticise them, they are going lash back at us and say something bad about us, like as if they are the best around, and we must follow what they think. Who knows someone is going criticise me soon. ;)

@ticrak1 i think that goes without saying.

Marvelous culture and civilization, peace-loving people, great host, deep love for the Olympic sports, complete devotion and national unity, genious presentation of both opening and closing ceremonies! The list can go on and on! Thank you Chinese people! You have done an exceptional and great job! Majority people in the world appreciate your hard work and 2008 Bejing Olympics! This is truly a great page in the Olympic history book!
