Dion is dogsh!t. I don't trust that little bastard. He can't explain greenshift properly, he's changing it all the time so it will smell better to voters, worst of all that prick is using the dollars greenshift will reap to buy votes from farmers and truckers...weren't those tax dollars supposed to be spent on reducing taxes for low inome families. More liberal lies. G@DAMN YOU LIBERALS, I WANT THE 480 BILLION DEFICIT YOU RAN UP PAYED BACK!!!

Dion is not a leader, he has no idea what is going on. Why can he not tell us what his plan is instead of sitting on the fence and bitching? His Liberal government brought us to the desert...think big Dion, think big.

You must be joking or have you an agenda you're pushing so hard you're willing to disregard reason? Let's see the whole sentence:"If they (the Pakistanis) are not able to deal with it on their own, we could consider that option with NATO forces in order to help Pakistan help us pacify Afghanistan".

So the literal interpretation is that he wants NATO to consider helping Pakistan to close the taliban camps on their side of their border if the Pakistanis are unable to do so by themselves.

Meanwhile conservatives are desperately trying to portrait this as if Dion wanted some sort of Iraq war v2.0 where NATO forces would barge in Pakistan and clash with both the talibans and the Pakistani's forces (they even put a picture of a nuclear missile to hint that Pakistan could nuke NATO troops). And despite all this you see no misrepresentation or slander here...

But that's the point. To help Pakistan, you have to go into Pakistan, and that means (to an extent) troops in Pakistan. Musharraf, although he may be questionable in a variety of issues, is still the leader of a sovereign state. If we go in, we're invading, or at least intervening.

Surely anything of this sort would require Pakistan's consent first. Dion didn't do that, so to an extent, Musharraf's reaction to this (that Dion is asking for an invasion) is understandable.

And just to let you know, I'm not a card-carrying member of the Conservative Party, but fair is fair, if Dion is insisting on diplomacy of any sort with Pakistan, he should have used the word "diplomats".

I mean, if an ordinary Joe like me makes the mistake, that's probably forgivable. But he's the leader of the opposition and a learned academic, one of the most educated men to lead a party. It's pretty negligent for him to make a mistake like that.
