It was a 96 degree day (hottest day of the year) when a freak thunderstorm came out of nowhere. It got cold and windy all of a sudden, shingles started flying, then it hailed. We had quarter and golf ball sized hail followed by a rainbow which was struck by lightning. A lightning storm continued in the evening. Benbrook is about 5 miles southwest of Fort Worth in North Texas. I love severe thunderstorms, even though they try to murder my sunflowers (so far so good).
