A quick tour of Triple Tree Aerodrome:
Low pass over the lake to cross midfield and buzz the tower. Then a low pass down all 7,000 feet of Runway 21 (Yes, this is a 7,000' grass runway). Then landing on Runway 03.
All done with permission from the tower.

See www.tripletreeflyin.com for more about the airfield.

  • i cant belive everyone is saying how "nice" this is...its pilots like you that give the rest of us bad names...ever think of what would happen if your engine quit at these altitudes and over water?...other than doing buzzing crap it looks like your a good pilot...why dont you try acting like it.

  • @john198119811 ,

Really? Did you happen to look at any of my other videos with this plane?

It is a seaplane. I could land it at any time in this video....

Even at the very end of the lake, there is a drop off and a wide area that I could easily have turned and landed on the runway..

There was nothing even remotely unsafe done here.

  • curious as to what kind of plane? And what is the shaking I see in the video

  • @framed30

    Its a Progressive Aerodyne Searey with a Rotax 912s - 100hp.

It can be flown under Sport Pilot rules.

The shaking is a weird effect cause by small amounts of flexing on the camera mount and the post that the mount is attached to, combined with the camera's automatic stability compensation. Its definitely strange, all my videos using this mount and camera get the same effect, but it still is better than most hand held shots I get.

  • Yeehaw! Even for Mach .2 that was a sweet tower buzz!

  • @TacairStationHQ

Hah, you got me wondering, so I calculated... It was actaully Mach 0.1011 !!

Its amazing the paint stays on the plane!

  • crash.

  • Very cool that the tower let you buzz them! And only a steady hand like that could have pulled it off. Nice job.

  • @KuostA

Thanks. This plane is very draggy and lands much like an ultralight, so if you pull the throttle back to idle it will come down pretty fast.

  • holyCRAP that was a beautiful landing, amazing flying skills, very high rate of decent and nose down..looks like you barely clipped the trees. beautiful angle and flying...hope to do that someday.
