  • As groovy67 says, Jeffrey Ethell was the pilot who flied a number of restored WWII warbirds. His last flight was on a P-38 freshly restored.Seems one engine died on the takeoff. After the crash the plane take fire.

  • Unfortunately we lost Jeff Ethell in a crash flying a P-38.He crashed on final approach during a landing.Ironic that he was killed flying the same type plane his father flew in the war.Not sure what failed on the plane...probably engine failure.Condolences to him and his family. He made several videos flying all types of WW2 planes.Great man and excellent info provided by him flying these historic planes. He will be missed.

  • Too bad Jeff Ethel died in a P-38 crash,he brought us so much closer to these ww2 aircraft through his films. He will be deeply missed.
