If this is a reflection of how off he mark the Science Museum can be (ie a pointless pretentious video unelated to the link from the museum site) then I'd advise everyone to save thier cash and go to the National Histr r V&A museums instead. Iritating video. Irritating thinking.
The exhibition itself was great, but this intro video (shown on the way in) did seem a bit pointless. Show some of the cars already - I thought the Tanto was interesting.
For example, some of the Japan cars include the 3rd gen Mazda MX-5, the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, the 2nd gen Toyota Prius, the 1st gen Honda Insight, the 2nd gen Nissan Cube, Daihatsu Copen, Toyota bB, Toyota iREAL, Nissan PIVO2, Toyota iQ, Suzuki Jimmy, Honda FCX Clarity, Daihatsu Tanto and some trucks.
