Character of Archangel Tyrael Rendered in glorious next-gen 3D.
***Background Spoiler***
Tyrael, an archangel, is one of the main characters seen in the popular game Diablo II. Tyrael is one of only three named angels shown in the game; Hadriel is found in the River of Flame, in Act IV, on the player's path to destroy Diablo, and Izual is a former (corrupted) archangel. During the end of Act 5, Tyrael destroys the Worldstone in order to prevent Baal from corrupting it any further. He claims that this will prevent the forces of hell from flooding into the mortal world - by destroying the Worldstone, its uncorrupted energies will be released and spread throughout the world of Sanctuary, thus maintaining the boundaries between Sanctuary, the High Heavens, and Hell. Although there has been no official information regarding Diablo 3, it is possible that Tyrael and the consequences of the Worldstone's destruction will play a major role.

@Juke5763 Because he may have suffered from the repercussions of destroying the Worldstone, becoming corrupted as a result...he may be an enemy in the next game.

@fszron Why would he be banished when he just saved the whole sanctuary?

@Juke5763 Most likely he will be banished from the high heavens for destroying the corrupted Worldstone.

But what happens to Baal's soulstone? It hasn't been destroyed yet, does baal's soul corrupt Tyrael? I can't wait to see D3, but i think something bad is going to happen for Tyrael
