This is a video made up of clips from a performance and an at-home practice. The song is called Fakerni, and it's by Haifa Wehbe.

The performance was at a college event celebrating international cultures, it happened on the day of my Meshi Meshi Meshi video. There was a professional videographer recording for the college TV channel, but I didn't receive that version yet (my husband recorded this one), so keep an eye out for that!

Within the next few weeks I should be posting videos of my upcoming performances as well as previous performances for which I didn't receive the videos yet. There will be a (or a few) nice surprise(s) among these, do not miss it (or them)!

The costume I am wearing in both clips, minus the veils, was entirely made by me, I will be posting a picture with it on my profile background so you can see how cute it looks. I know it's simple but I'm very proud of my work, as it is the first full costume (not just bra and belt but bra, belt, skirt, and arm cuff) I have ever designed and crafted myself.

  • Your costume looks beautiful on you! And great song choice, this is one of my favourite Haifa songs.

You can definately see your improvement from video to video. Did you choreograph or improvise?

And you don't need to gain any weight. Your dancing looks lovely and you look healthy IMO. You can tell you're naturally slender, but it works for you and your dancing I think.

  • Thanks :)

I've never choreographed anything in my life, not in the literal sense of the word where I decide what to do for each part by counting steps...

But I did "rehearse" this dance multiple times before performing, and some of the parts were definitely set according to what I liked in the rehearsals... but a lot of it was improvised.

  • Wonderful performance. What materials do you use to design your costume? its very beautiful. I want to make also my own costume so that i will not buy. The costume here is very expensive.

  • Costumes are very expensive here as well.. this is why I like to make my own sometimes. Also because it's always a better fit... I can never find anything my size. Also, the bras I make are always more comfortable than any I could buy.

For this costume I used beaded fringe, lots of sequins, and some rocks and beads (for the flowers). The bottom of the skirt is made of satin and the top is cotton.

  • nossa o título tá na direita

yamem você tá fazendo aula de arabe?

    sem comentários na dança.

  • Aula de árabe? Infelizmente, não.
