@withperfecttiming Remember though Elliott actually described his music as pop music in interviews it's so hard to put Elliott's music into 1 box cause it transcends defined genres, and I completely agree with you I'm in that situation right now Elliott's music is like medicine for the soul but it's no problem :)

@StelliosHolmes but he said POP music. i took it as an insult. i apologize if i took it the wrong way. i was suicidal and listening to him made me feel less alone. it absolutely helped me through that time in my life. that's why i took it so offensively, sorry, man. you mean pop music like "popular", "well known". i'm a hip hop head and a friend turned me onto elliott smith years ago. i've never heard music so fucking beautiful and meaningful (and yes i said beautiful) in my life. again. sorry.

Erm he said something nice about him underrated as in not rated highly enough, Elliott is the most underrated man in the history of music he deserves his place next to Lennon, Young, Dylan (he deserves to be above those at the very top if you ask me), and it's such a fucking crime that he isn't and probably never will be cause most people can't see the truth and that's what Elliott was pure, unprotected, heart breakingly, soul shatteringly beautiful truth
