@Bridgett30 Yea. It kinda lost some 'groove' in the translation.
-
funny they are the best at this!!
-
@StSunrider Ask nerdflanders he started it,
-
@harrymannjr10001 As in "I wonder what ever happened to The Oh-needers?".
-
I think the tune, the style, as done by the Wonders, was familiar to me because of The Knack, not because of 60s music. Obviously, it came way after Get The Knack, but NOW I know why I bought the soundtrack to the movie later on - I just made the connection.
-
@tracysrocket The song was in the movie first, though... this song is a sort of homage to all of the bubblegum-rock of the 60's starting with the Beatles "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and onto Tommy James and the Shondells, the Archies, and many others. So if it seemed familiar in the movie, it was it was supposed to. Others have covered the thing as well,

@harrymannjr10001 can we limit this to a civil discussion, please?
-
Whoa. Way too fast. The Wonders were the best!
-
I loved The Knack, I also loved the Tom Hank's movie, now I see why this song was so familiar in the movie

@SoulKissin Except the vocalist here is obviously straining his range
I once met Jeff Fieger in an elevator -- I looked at him quizzically, and then asked, "Aren't you that guy who's brother was in that band?" Cracked him up.

@dburton210521 it was a new song, made to sound like an old song...to that era. It came from the Tom Hanks movie first. the knack covered it....knack style.
