Full Spectrum Lamps - I bought mine at Lowes. Check Home Depot or your local Home Improvement store. You can also buy Full Spectrum lamps on line.

And I want to lecture you all about poor camera placement! I will tell you how to position your camera for the most flattering angle! Cuz no one wants to see your pudgy chin or look up your nose!

And girls, if you're recording makeup tutorials UP CLOSE, PLEASE, for the LOVE of makeup, keep on top of your eyebrow plucking! There is nothing scarier than stubbly, unkempt eyebrows! Ugh!

  • like the mirror. what brand is it? does it et really hot? thanks in advance.

  • I think it's Revlon, Bought it at ULTA. Yes, it gets pretty darn hot! ;)

  • ahh this video was EXACTLY what i was looking for just one unresolved question.....when your applying the makeup especially if you want to be zoomed in while applying it, how do you know if your in the video frame? like do you have a mirror behind the camera to see? and even if so i find myself looking stupid trying to look back and forth

    thanks :)

  • I use a digital camcorder that has a little view finder thing that flips out to the side & can be turned to face forwards or backwards. Also, when recording directly to the computer, you should see the live video on the monitor as it records.

If you're using a point & shoot camera & record to the camera's memory first, I can't really help with that! Sorry!

  • lol...

  • thanks for sharing this.

  • I think these are really good tips and advice. However, I enjoy seeing the little non-"perfect" things about people. I like actually getting to see the "flaws" that I am being taught how to hide. It brings these beautiful women and girls down to a more human level, if you will. Even though I'm not found of zits, facial hair, warts, etc I think it unites us when we get glimpses into other people's lives and see that we all have to same crap to deal with. Ok, I'm off my cheesy, cliche soap box!
