Long Beach area schools change it around to make it their own, the orginal title in print for music is compton, Jordan High changed it at one point when they tried to use it as their fightsong into North LB but go to the football game when compton plays poly you will eventually hear the lyrics to the song when they use it as their final battle song.

yea i dont know what's up when i was a freshman Lakewood high was always the biggest Long Beach band then millikan and poly, poly always had cool auxilliary like their majorette then all of a sudden LBUSD bands get smaller by the number, what's up with that.

Poly band is doing very well...unfortunately some of our best players have graduated (Isaac Kaplan best tromboner)..time to start over from the ground up to get up there.. or possibly surpass (highly unlikely though..lol)

nawh, I hate the fact that they try too hard and i remember as a freshman 99-00 they only had like 15 people in their band and that was the only song they knew. As far as I know Compton plays the whole song and they sing the lyrics, I have the original copy from the one Lakewood High Uses and its written as compton. I knew Jordan used it as their fightsong and ended up dropping it because compton re wrote it at one point. But i hope poly band is doing well.
