New Mayan Discovery in Guatemala

STORY:
The newly discovered 300 B.C. panels, both 8 meters long and stacked on top of each other, show scenes of the Popol Vuh, a Mayan myth.

This is the first known relief depictions of the main characters in the myth, the two hero twins.

On one panel, the twins are depicted surrounded by cosmic monsters and above them is a bird deity with outstretched wings. On the other, there is a Mayan corn god framed by an undulating serpent.

[Richard Hansen, Head Archaeologist]:
"We discovered a water collection, a water system, a water collection system that was decorated with friezes portraying the hero princes of Popol Vuh. We have Ixbalanque (one of the princes') and we have Hunahpu (twin brother of Ixbalanque) with the decapitated head of their father Hun Hunahpu, in swimming figures inside a frame of cosmic monsters and a frame of celestial figures."

It took three months for archeologists to uncover the carvings while excavating El Mirador, the biggest ancient Mayan city in the world.

At Tiahuanaco in bolvia they discoverd the magna fuente bowl it has Sumerian cuniform and Imara indian writing, Mainstream Archaeology says the Imara didnt have any form of writing but were able to construct Puma Punku and these cultures were not only seperated by a vast sea but also time...but im sure very few will ever hear about it, just like this video, This discovery and many others should be front page material insted of some celebrity scandel
