WALTER ISAACSON: [...] Tom Friedman's column mentioned that you haven't been there supporting the tax breaks that need to be extended for wind and solar. Do you support those breaks, and will you keep pushing for--will you push for it at some point?

JOHN MCCAIN: Yes, and I have, and I have a long record of that support of alternate energy. [...] I've always been for all of those and I have not missed any crucial vote. But my citizens in Arizona know that when I'm running for the President of the United states I have to be out campaigning. [...]

ISAACSON: And you are for the renewing of those tax breaks for

MCCAIN: The extenders

ISAACSON: The extenders for solar and wind

MCCAIN: Of course, and I think we need to have an R and D tax credits made permanent. And I think we ought to have a one year depreciation for new plants and new equipment to get our economy going again. And we need to do, and we need to try and incentivize American industry again, particularly in alternate fuels [...]

ISAACSON: And you would still go for cap and trade even though you are talking about coal fired plants?

MCCAIN: Yes [...]

He is lying. He has missed many critical votes in the Senate regarding solar and other alternative energy bills. This old turd of a candidate needs to go home to Arizona and STFU and play golf. He has no place in politics and never has. Can you say Keating Five?????

There were two times recently when McJackass was the only Senator absent for votes on bills that had great importance regarding this subject. He is a turd and a liar.

He has again and again and again missed crucial votes on renewable energy. See Tom Friedman's NYT article on August 13, where he details McCain's missing eight straight votes on renewable tax credits. He just pretends to support renewables, but is really in the pocket of Big Oil and coal. Obama may not be perfect on these issues, but is infinitely better than this liar.
