Really good vid! Does it make any difference using a saw blade or another blade? A blade from a knife for example.

I just spent a minute or two replaying looking for that detail myself.
@deaddager - I think you're right - looked the same to me - the hose clamp reinforces the outside of the slot and prevents splitting under the torque. Impressive++. bit a little scary unless you keep the hoseclamp "loose end" short because it sticks out as it spins around (if it's too long)

@jennymenuez it looks to me like he cut a slot in the wood the same thickness as a flat bottom bit and then used a hose clamp to tighten the wood around the bit.

never saw that before. How did u chuck the slat in the drill, it looked like a flat bottom wood bit with something attached to it. very good post.
