This past Friday morning, 15 bicyclists took off on a journey from Arlington, Va. to New York City as they took part in the Marine Corps/Law Enforcement Foundation Charity Bike Ride.
Once the cyclists reached the Big Apple, 40 other riders - including Jon Scott - joined up to make their way to Ground Zero. The purpose of the ride? To help raise money for our nation's fallen heroes, as well as support their families.
Not only do the funds raised help provide scholarships for the children of men and women killed in battle, but one cyclist says the 330-mile ride itself holds its own weight and symbolism.
"A big part of this ... is just to remember, because so often we forget," he said.
Watch the inspirational segment and see what else Jon Scott captured on video from this memorable bike ride.
