You probably have to paint the inside of the enclosure. Some of the parts might short out against the bare metal on the chassis.

Your prices are wacked.. I can build these for 20 bucks

GGG kits are awesome. Very well documented for construction.
Theres plastic stand offs with sticky mounted thru the bottom of board ...the two little white plastic things you see coming thru the pcb. Gives plenty of clearance. In fact, on most kits the LED is under the board.

is there like an in depth instruction video or manual i can refer to for putting together my own pedals?

If you're referring to the price I paid for my pedal kit, it's not "wacked" it's just what I paid. Frankly, I find it to be very reasonable. If you can put the pieces together cheaper yourself, then go for it!

there's a question that's nagging in the back of my head: when you put in the PCB, do you put some electrical tape between the PCB and the casing? If your soldering makes contact with the casing, wouldn't that just draw the signal to ground, which would basically kill your signal?

@MrFreemiel I didn't put electrical tape, but you are correct in saying that if your solder touches the cases it will short out. The way the lit is built, you shouldn't need electrical tape, but it doesn't hurt to put it there.
