Thanks for uploading this song, and Happy Veteran's Day

@Anthraxsgaming Just saying that Boston Crew patriotism, while heartfelt, was usually amped up to make a point/bother hippies and liberals.
-
@Anthraxsgaming OK, now you're making sense. Before you said "No one in Oi!" when you should have said "No American SKins" Do you understand now why I say you can't take these songs entirely seriously? Because they were concocted to illustrate a certain point/provoke a certain audience. It's not as if They had tears in their eyes when they wrote this.
-
@Anthraxsgaming I see, and what did they tell you about why S&S was formed? Mark and Jordan were not part of that line up, so you're down to just Choke. DId he tell you something relevant, or are you just trying to claim you know the score because you met them. Tell me what they said, and I'll get Jack to confirm it.
-
@Anthraxsgaming How would seeing them modern Slapshot line up call themselves S&S give you any information about why S&S was created? What does being a skinhead have to do with anything? I'm not a skinhead either, and neither were Choke or Jordan. Boston Crew kids might have called themselves skins for a short period of time, but but they were HC punks through and through

@Anthraxsgaming ANd "Olde Tyme Hardcore" was written about "15 year old kids talking about the old days as if they know what the hell they're talking about". You're so used to lecturing other people with info you picked up 2nd hand that you can't stop even when you're talking to someone who was actually present, and knows people in the band. You'd probably argue with Choke at this point.
-
@Anthraxsgaming Wrong. S&S was an excuse to go over the top with the "My America" schtick, but you're missing the point; the whole band is a *parody* of the British Oi style. That's why they don't sound anything like the Bruisers or Patriot. Unless you were there, and you knew them, I don't see why anyone should pay any attention to what you say. And if you we're there, then I know you and we can talk about it in person.
-
Everyone arguing and no one get's the joke. Choke and Jordan were huge Oi fans but knew they couldn't really nail the style, so they did what SSD and DYS were doing with Metal, but used Oi (and Skrewdriver) instead. All of this stuff is ever so slightly TONGUE IN CHEEK. There was only 1 real Oi band in Boston in the mid 80's and I was in it.

@Anthraxsgaming ARE YOU CRAZY?

I'm not from the U.S and i think that was a goosebumb effort. Australia was in the Vietnam war and our vet's got treated like crap too...................Some people have to bleed the ground red so that idealistic Moron's can hide behind the saftey of thair fantacies..........Good clip.
I know I commented already, but everytime I watch this video it gets harder to listen to the song without crying.

sent to the other side of the world to fight for a cause that the government abandonded due to pressure from a small minority of americans(sic) who either didn't care or even openly supported what it was we were fighting against. We won every battle on the ground, the "big turning point", the "tet offensive" was an absolute victory for the american and ally forces. And our enemy in the war, the spread of communism, was worth fighting against. As evil as any fascism.
it is very sad.

Isn't it nice?
Its so simple to say that we of the anti-war movement were anti-troop...in fact, its flat wrong and I take offense to it.
I lost my boyfriend in a war, he didn't want to fight in. He didn't fight for power or glory, only because jail was the alternative.
Vietnam was our governments mistake, our governments imperial action. Not the boys, the boys were pawns for the rich who would never risk their own sons...

it's my opinion that anti-war protests during a war are insepperable from anti-troop, even though obviously the protests arn't meant to be, but if you badmouth the war that people are fighting in and dying in, you are harming those soldiers that are still over there. You're encouraging whoever it is that they're fighting. I would suggest that both Vietnam and Iraq are unneccessary and serve/served little purpose. But protesting your government during an armed conflict puts troops in danger.

wow, that's awesome. I'm so glad you liked it. thank you for your service. It's really simple to make these videos on Window's Movie Maker. The hardest part sometimes is actually finding the pictures.
