I found my Sega Saturn memory card with the data for this game, so I decided to make a video for it. I played this game for about fifty hours... which is all well and good, but I need 85 for the AM2 excellent fighting palm tree dammit! I want to have a match with the palm tree versus the daytona car!

Anyway, this is one of two videos for this game (Unless someone wants to see the artwork. We can upload that too.). Fighters Megamix is generally regarded as one of the best fighters for the Sega Saturn, but I'd like to make the distinction that it's one of the best 3D fighters for Sega Saturn. It is generally a combination of Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers, but with a number of surprise entries from other Sega games. Actually, I'm using one of those surprise entries in this video, Janet, from Virtua Cop 2...who just so happens to be a good fighter based mostly off of a Virtua Fighter 3 character, Aoi. Janet is also very cheap with her gun, which should be banned...should there ever be a Fighters Megamix 2. I tried not to use it much in this video, but it's so funny to use it.

While Fighters Megamix is a load of fun with lots of unlockables, I should also note that in all fairness, it is very unbalanced. If Janet has a gun, everyone should. The gun also happens to be unblockable and one of the strongest attacks in the game, period. Some other characters just deal little to no damage whatsoever (Bean) and some are just downright under-developed...and some are just weird. You can dole out the harshness with a piece of meat and you can also play with Rent-A-Hero in a U.S. game (his only U.S. appearance I think). I own his Japanese game for Dreamcast. Enjoy.

  • man Janet's gun really was cheap and way too powerful ,lol.

  • Fighters Megamix is one of my favorite games on the Saturn. It's Virtua Fighter 2 meets Fighting Vipers and other Sega-AM2 characters into the mix. The game somewhat served as a preview of Virtua Fighter 3, such as Janet Marshall (Virtua Cop 2) using Aoi's moveset, a few BGMs and stages and added moves to the VF2 cast.

  • @jfachris

Mugen is also a real game. Just not from a big name company.

  • I swear I just saw it say THE DICK CORPORATION XD

  • WOW

  • @jfachris No, I didn't miss the "like" at all... I should have better specified. Bascially no 3D Mugen-like system exist. Mugen is one of a kind, in terms of both 2D and 3D custom fighting systems. A 3D system will probably not exist for years to come, if ever.

  • @HypnoSwag you missed the "like" implying something similiar.

  • This game was excellent. If only it had Model 2 graphics, then it would have easily rivaled Virtua Fighter 2, if not surpassed it.

  • @jfachris Mugen only applies to 2D games.

  • O fuck! A big smiling pedobear, AND a fighting car??? No wonder Sega Saturn failed!

  • This was my favorite Saturn fighting game. I loved that you could play as a Daytona car.

  • Such a trippy game. We need more fighters like it.
