the 80,000 Roman dead was an exaggeration and the defeat was the result of two Roman commanders refusing to to cooperate and share intelligence with one another
@pucksterz12 you seem to be a know it all yourself, 1st of u can't say no one knows unless you have concrete evidence the t nobody knows, if you don't you are just speculating and bound to be dismissed. 2nd point is there might be mistakes and inaccuracy (obviously) but not all are entirely inaccurate. Some are even supported by archaeological discoveries, paintings, written records etc. You seem to dismiss all the evidence based on your thinking, i think its time you get some schooling
@madax132 Roman´s pronounced them different, but in this vid they pronounce it they english way, so obviously they sound as they are spelled in this vid if you speak english, cuz this is an english vid.
for example, in ´Julius´ the ´u´ (in both occasions) should be pronounced as the ´o´ in ´do´,
and English people tend to pronounce the ´j´ as ´dj´, which shouldn´t be done when pronouncing Julius the latin way.
this video is not totally accurate

@Aleksei5055 Yes, if you speak english most roman names will sound how they are spelled.
julius= jewl e us.
For an English speaker definitely some of the easiest to pronounce.
