@PRiME2020 And also, 0.4, does that mean in thickness ? What's 0.4 measured in ?
I need to know this stuff so I can ask the store clerk :P Also, i'm assuming it's one of those with just one blade, not the ones who have a bunch of blades on one handle ?

@PRiME2020 Yeah that's what I thought. It's used for painting (the one I have).
I'm assuming you mean feeler gauge right ? I'll try to get myself one of those, I get them at the hardware store right ?

Hey dude, a .406 feeler gauge works perfectly. Posting on cvx now. You are a genuis.

I wish I talked like that. :) Thanks again for the video dude. I really appreciate it. Search ebay for tin shaving pen. Have two coming tomorrow. Can't wait to try it!

i'll try to take a picture of it for you. it's extremely flexible, almost too flexible. it's so fine that it bends if i don't hold my thumb of fingers over it, which makes it hard to try and cut through the silicon.

@Sw33tSm0k3 Guilty on CVX suggested starting off with a 0.4x Feller gauge and sharpening that down on the end. This might be a better option as its spring steel and quite tough where has the thing your using sounds far too flexible to be of any real use.

i don't get how u keep sliding that thing in so far at the edges.
i'm using a similar tool, only that it's slightly more flexible and MAYBE not as sturdy, but i've been cutting through the silicon as best i can, and i still can't slide that far in at the edges.
neither does it seem like i'm anywhere close to getting this damn heatspreader off ! i've seen little shards of the silicon falling off, but it's apparently not enough ? :S
any advice ?

@Sw33tSm0k3 It would be very hard for me to guess as to what the issue is without seeing a picture of the tool you use (esp side on). I can only assume you have not modded it enough, to thin mine down I had to use a 'dremel tool' on it a fair bit as it was originally too thick and would not slide in very far at all either.
I wish I had a better camera then I remake a new video with high-def etc.. but atm I have this terrible Kodak thing which is constantly out of focus.
