First electric train (on test) on new Perth to Mandurah railway line, passing through South Perth. Friday 9 November 2007. 7:30 am. The train was going quite slow for the first. Speed on the new line (1067 mm gauge) will be up to 130 km/hr.

  • @welcomebackcomman if you've ever been on even a 6 car train during peak times, or to a football game etc etc.. you know.. that transperth really really needs to invest in a few 8-9car trains, just for special occasions

  • @007isbond1 Not much point when the platforms are only long enough for 6!

  • The B series trains are the best trains I've ever seen. Also great to travel in. It would be awesome if EDI Bombardier started to make 8 car trains, but unfortunately Perth's population isn't quite there yet.
