Obama's foreign policy approach - Mos Def, Salman Rushdie, Christopher Hitchens

I don't think he articulates it very well, but Mos actually makes an important point here: the application of force is merely one approach that we turn to by default, and it's just not effective in every situation; in some situations, it may actually be counter-productive.

Contrary to what Mos said, though, I think Obama is still stuck in that paradigm. It would be nice if he can see beyond it.

Mos def's point is just as valid as any of the other people on the panel. White people love to use their privilege/power to demean, eliminate, and denigrate people of color's opinion. Obviously if you have to do all that, you are afraid of some inner power that we possess. Here's the thing, if you disagree with Mos, disagree with him, but don't belittle him and question his intelligence.

I don't think there is a direct correlation between his race and the main reason why a random Youtube viewer would think that Mos Def comes off as stupid here.. Have you seen the whole interview?? Mos spent 10 minutes arguing about why he doesn't know anything about a topic in front of one of the greatest minds of the century. 10 MINUTES. At some point you've GOT to realize you may be little too race sensitive
