"Coyote Ugly", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "High Fidelity", "The Muppets", "Spiderman 3", "Ali", "Twister", "The Good Shepherd" -- the list of films that Joseph Magee worked for seems endless. He scored and did soundtrack work, he supervised music mixes, and he has numerous recording, mixing and producing credits for dozens of feature films and countless records. A past Grammy nominee, Magee received a 1999 Golden Reel Award for the Emmy-winning "The Temptations".
In this video, Magee explains why Melodyne is his favourite tool for dynamic control nowadays, that, according to him, can even do better than the mixing automation of a Neve or a D-Command console. He also talks about how the Formant Tool in Melodyne helps him to tweak the resonance of vocals.
