My wife and I filmed a bit of the aftermath from the tornado. Images and video won't really grasp how sad it is to see something like this. As far as we understand, Streator had it worse than Dwight. It was very uplifting to see the community come together like this to help each other out. What you see isn't even all of the worst that Dwight received, we didn't get video of some of the worst stuff (yes, that was my fault).

i was at the dwight pool that night with my friend when we saw lightning and they closed my ride wasnt supossed be there for a while and luckly i had my phone so my ride came just in time i live out in gardner

My storm chasing crew almost caught the Caldeonia IL tornado. We missed it by 30 mins.

First time seeing any of this damage.. Im form streator and couldn't believe some of it. Its all just very hard to take it.. Couldn't imagine a larger one hitting

Just so everyone's clear the same tornado that hit Streator hit Dwight it only moved about a mile south in a 28 miles stretch...I watched the cell the whole way on radar while it was happening...same cell...same hook...same tornado...similar destruction...

I live in Aurora IL. my aujnt lives in Dwight she just barely didnt get hit. i got to see i bit of damage

this is awfull ...when i was very young my school was deroyed with help of all the local loved ones our small ga town pulled though i am praying for the familys that was afected and ones that was lost ...
