  • @saidsule Peace and blessings

  • @PowerfulMindsofWomen Thank you too for turning this conversation into a meaningful one. Peace and blessings on you.

  • @PowerfulMindsofWomen The real question is not "are men using religion to oppress women" rather "is ANYONE misusing religion". Yes that is true, there are people who are misusing religion, that's not to be argued about. In Islam men and women are equal, no one is superior based on gender, race, background, status etc etc except to righteousness, and anyone who is self-righteous in not righteous, and thus only God judges us. No one supports those who misuse religion.

  • @saidsule Ultimately, yes, we can agree that there is no place in our world for judgement, injustice, and mistreatment of anyone by any means. The world is rapidly changing and it's time to embrace an inclusive way of relating to one another rather than a dogmatic way that alienates you from the world's progress. Thank you again for your kind words and take care.

  • @saidsule Yes! Believe or not, a woman can show an eyebrow and still be God fearing! It's not a miracle. It can be done. The question is are men being God fearing in their treatment of women. Are they using religion as a means to control the dormant power of women? That's the real question here that begs an answer. Keeping checks and balances in female/male relationships is important, but using faith to make you feel superior to your complementing gender is injustice.

  • @PowerfulMindsofWomen Let me rephrase what I just said. any God fearing muslim woman would wear what her God ordered her to wear. It's not forced upon anyone and that is what is important in Islam. We believe God has given us a choice, to obey him or be arrogant and think we know better than Him. People choose no one is forced, let's appreciate that and move on. If a woman/man believes she/he will be God fearing by following his/her own desires, so be it. God will judge us.

  • @saidsule Thank you for your kind words, but I haven't identified what my "way" is. In fact, I think there's a lot about Western civilization that needs to change. And know this: A woman anywhere in the world can be God fearing and claim a spirituality that meets her needs without subjecting herself to oppressive dress codes, established by religion.

  • @PowerfulMindsofWomen I agree with you, it's not fair to judge another culture by the standards they have established for themselves. As I said earlier not all but few God fearing women wear the dress code. So lets agree on this point; We shouldn't judge each other, rather respect and forgive each other. We have our way, you have your way. We might not see now, but hopefully in the near future we will fully understand one another. Peace and forgive me if was rude earlier.
