  • Scott, I found out about this movie a few years ago. My late uncle's sister plays Maxine in the movie. I sent an email to an artist director of my local city's off broadway theatre. I thought the film had a lot to say. It has too much dialog for a movie. Plays, unlike movies, like dialog. Unfortunately, plays don't like a lot of odd mechanically given dialog as there is in this movie. The director did not respond to my email. You might think about writing a play, but make it less dull.

  • @penumbraman99

Cool that you were related to the original movie. A play is a great idea, but we've already conceived it as a new type of movie. These scenes were just a test.

  • The first scene in part one is new.

  • @ScottEssman Ooh! I just saw the original on AMC! It's amazing such a cheesy film can make you think about such philosophical things such as, "what makes us human?" I look forward to seeing more of this project. I hope this film turns out well! XD

  • Scott,

I sent an email to a good friend of Andy Warhol, Vincent Freeman. I asked him if he knew why Warhol liked this movie. Unfortunately, he did not know him until 1969. He never mentioned the movie to him, but he was guessing he thought it was very campy, it was so bad it was good. It has never been established that Warhol liked or even saw this movie, but I believe the stories are true. I believed he loved the movie, for its color/lighting, pop art look, message, and it's campness.

  • can't anybody come up with anything new anymore.

  • I don't get it. What do they see in him? I'm just as ugly! Why can't I get chicks like that?

  • BRAVO! Excellent, one of my favorite SciFi films of all time. I saw it many times on late night SciFi-Horror TV shows in the mid 60's, in Los Angeles.
