De-planing from the back door of a Southwest 737 at Burbank. Burbank is one of the last U.S. airports without jetways.

  • @NASCARWWEFan4Life yes. they have 3 of them

  • do they still have the gold livery flying around today?

  • ive ridden on one of the three shamu's out of fort myers, FL at 6 15 am hahaha i felt so blessed lol the fact that it was shamu and early in the morning i felt calm about the flight lol

  • Actually, a lot of European low-cost airlines purposely AVOID jetways even if they are available. London Stansted Airport, for example, has around 40 jetways but they are almost never used because the low cost carriers (especially Ryanair) that occupy the airport prefer to use stairs. In fact, a lot of new airport terminals in Europe are still built with some gates lacking jetways due to demand from airlines.

  • wow i went there a while back and forgot they dont have jetways weird. well im used to it. i fly on skywest crj's and embraer 120's alot. im used to it

  • well duh! Every one has there! Burbank doesn't have jetways.

  • I've deplaned via stairs at Burbank too.
