For a few years, I attended some great baseball fantasy camps in Detroit played at Tiger Stadium and Comerica Park. In 2004 I attended a week long camp in Lakeland Florida. The camps are organized by the Tigers and feature former players to make it even more fun. The camps are a blast.

My friends were always asking me to show them the videos and photos I shot so I made these video recaps. Part 1 features clips of the weekend camps at Tiger Stadium and Comerica Park plus the week long camp in Florida. It should give you a good idea of what your get to do at the camps.

Part 2 is a "documentary" of a now famous homerum that I hit (or didn't hit) at Tiger Stadium. I was able to interview several former Tiger alumni and have them recap the "Shot Heard Round' Detroit". Interviews include: Lance Parrish, Ernie Harwell, Kirk Gibson, Bill Freehan, George Kell, Jim Price, Dave Bergman, Steve Kemp, Mickey Lolich, John Wockenfuss, Dave Rozema, Frank Howard, Milt Wilcox, Dan Petry, Jon Warden, Tom Brookens, John Hiller, Jason Thompson, Rod Allen, Jim Northrup, Willie Horton, Darrel Evens, Frank Tanana and capped off with Tigers President and GM Dave Dombrowski offering me a contract.

If you're a fan, you'll enjoy it. At least I hope you will.

  • Played in 2007 with my great friend Danny Beer . . . I looked for him in your video as he has played in Camp for 10+ years.

  • I love your re-creation of the Trammell-Whitaker second base 1979 yearbook cover. LOL.

  • Who the hell is Paul Barker?

  • This was awesome!
