2009 CrossFit Games in Aromas, California.

This was the 2nd Event on the day. In10 minutes you were to perform 20 deadlifts. With the weight starting at 315 lbs. going up to 505 lbs. you would do a lift every 30 seconds until you could not lift the bar. Once you lifted the bar, your body was to reach the full upright position, knees and hips full extension/locked out, then you could drop the bar.

Going into this event my current deadlift max was 470 lbs.

  • Crossfit simply doesn't get how important the slow twitch fibers actually are to the total package.

  • This kind of exemplifies how crossfit doesn't train the total package like they say it does. Any time you ever see a crossfitter trying to do near maxwork their form goes to absolute shit. There is a simple reason for this. They are incomplete athletes. All that focus on metbost and other bullhsit has caused their slow twitch fibers, the muscle fibers that provide the support for the big lift, to lag so far behind their fast twitch that they can no longer hold their posture under heavy load.

  • @mikeOOman That made me laugh.

  • every fucking deadlift he did his back was rounded, his ass shot up way before his upper body even began too move, chest was always low and his upper back was never tight, not saying 505 is weak I'm just saying he'll only end up hurting himself and never lifting again which sucks more than anything

  • dont forget to keep your legs straight and lift with your back. you will lift more weight that way

  • @trecuck i still love crossfit :'(

  • Just been watching videos of Ed Coan's best pulls, see the suggestions to the right of this video. I stand corrected you crossfit douchebags are so right about how the back has to round on your max.

    /sarcasm

Coan's back doesn't give an inch. Thats how you do it. You crossfit douchebags are clueless.

  • @13gr33n

My 1 rep max at what??? Dumbell press???? What. If you ask me to do something I'm not experienced at then yes my form will suck. But I also wont do something I'm not experienced with for a 1 rep max. I'm not a crossfit douchebag so I know better.

In the deadlift my form will not break on a max. For starters my max deadlift cannot be performed without proper form. The form is essential to maximizing power transfer. You are a crossfit douchebag so you dont know that.
