  • i bought this exact amp for 500 bucks a local music store, love the thing to death, looks so beat up soo clean, but now it needs to be fixed for somethin is wrong and one of the tubes is not workin, so bummed

  • just get it serviced and some new tubes mate. it should be fine!

  • the farting is a good thing ?? i must be the only one that thinks this amps speakers are fucked

  • i have ahd to adress this numerous times with the comments on this video. it is not the amp farting. i recorded it with a digital camera. the amp sounds beautiful. the camera is not dwesigned to record at this volume.

  • why 8 people don't like ? they are jealous?!

nice sound man... i have a twin reverb to but the blackface made in usa , and i love the amp its the best sound ever, i also have a bassman 59 and sounds very nice to but more for rock stuff thnks for posting

  • This amp is simply perfect. My '71 is equipped with the optional factory JBL's and is, in my honest opinion, the best jazz amplifier ever made. As for the clipping, definately not the amp but the mic. These amps when turned up have such a rich low end, mine literally chimes my gong clock located 15 feet away. Thanks for the great vid and a perfect music selection to highlight this jem. Cheers.

  • I too have an original '74 SG Standard Cherry Finish. Only difference is I play mine through a 1980's Marshall JCM 800 2203 all valve with a Marshall Cabinet 1960A (4x12). 100 Watts of pure fun and power.

  • what was the volume on in this video?

  • The finest amp ever made IMHO, and well played... Thanks for posting.

  • all tube amps need tubes replaced at some point. I've had to repair the reverb tank several times on my twin - it seems to not do to well when it had to travel for gigs.

  • Hi . You must crank that twin with some fuzz or overdrive. I bought also one twin reverb from 1975 about 6 months ago. The clean sound is the best i ever heard from guitar amp. I have Strat plus 1985 and LP Gibson Goldtop with bigsby. Twin works great with both. Tube screamer TS808 works well also with these guitars and twin r. I from Finland.
