I saw this in HD today!! The details actually enhanced this! The monster near the end looks incredible. So imaginative and clever considering the limitations at the time. Maybe even better than A Trip to the Moon!

Cool! Saw pictures of the snow giant in Famous Monsters of Filmland 30 years ago...always wanted to see it! Thanks for posting.

I read about this in FM too. And was hooked.
When I was a little kid, I shot a crude 8mm version of this movie using Star Wars action figures and a giant clay monster. Alas it doesn't exist anymore.
But, my stop-motion version "Trip to the Moon" did survive the test of time and hope to upload it someday.
