Martial Arts - Animation - Koryo ( A M Baig )

This was my first job in the world of CG A friend of mine built some rigs for promoting the BBC TV game show Fight box. My professional background was purely in traditional 2d animation(Although I was playing around with Maya in my spare time).
Because I have a martial arts background he approached me to test the rigs for animation purposes and have them perform techniques that will be required in the show.
I thought the best demonstration of this would be to have the model perform a black belt sequence of movements known as "Koryo" from Tae kwon do. When doing this I had yet to discover the benefits of stepped tangents and the curve editor, so I was still not really a professional CG animator at the time!

Thank you kindly. I am a second Dan Black belt. Though i stopped grading around 2 years ago but still train passionately. I have been practicing Taekwondo for 15 years now

It is a Tae Kwon Do form named koryo practiced at the first degree (dan) Black belt level. Though all martial arts have some root in Kung fu so in some shape and form I guess it is! :)

It was good, but the side kicks and front kicks look wierd, like the leg in straightened to early
