  • I have always been amazed at this--for 2 organists, double choir and soloists, and the intersticialty/pairing of texts (antiphon, oration, hymn) and how it does NOT sound at all patched-together or disjointed. And the 'gallop' is wonderful. Gowers deserves all the highest praise for this piece he has received (and more hearings). And St Paul's choir under Scott (now sadly gone from St Paul's but happily now at St Thomas, NYC) is magnificent. Bravura recording. Thank you, Tia!
