@gotohell11 its not alway about the technique, nadal have heart.how many players have great technique but never reach even a gs semifinal, titles? nadal 23 ys 7 gs.federer 23 ys 5 gs.rafa is going to win 1 of the 2 next gs.head to head RN 14 RF 7
Beside, Nadal plays well on clay, where he can play his defensive game at his advantage.
On grass and hard court, it's always harder for him to get something going. Don't forgot, Federer is able to play like he does right now for an other 3 years or more and that there is Djocovic, Murray, Del Potro who can easily turn the game around on faster surfaces.
With only one slam on clay, Nadal will have a really hard time challenging Federer's records.
No. Nadal needs hsi body at peak to play and he is tremendously damaging it. His injuries are the result of systematic stress applied to his body.
He's got a good game, but unlike Federer, he cannot afford to slow down, even a bit. His game is very defensive, all about running and playing spin. If he cannot run as fast, he cannot stand as far behind.
This ball he barely touch so often, he won't be able to touch it if he slow down. Lesser ball will come back and his system will be off.
True, but how many players that 'read' the game perfectly don't make it to the top because their technique is relatively poor, making them injury-prone and not letting them hit the shots they should be hitting.
@pinatas72 yeah i agree...i mean when the techniques already there, why improve it? just maintain it and worry about winning

Federer has it all, unbelievable technique as well as great tactical skills and a strong mental game.
