The New Orleans Rhythm Kings - She's Crying For Me

The line up of The N.O.R.K. reads like a who's who of jazz when this track was recorded in 1925 in N.O. Paul Mares cnt, Santo Pecora tbn, Charlie Cordilla clt, among others. "She's Crying For Me" became a great favourite amongst the British trad bands in the 1950s. It's never been done better than this recording I think.

Not Rappolo on this version. This is the RCA version with Charlie Cordilla taking the clarinet solo. Rappolo is on the Colombia. they were recorded a few days apart.

Rappolos original solo is one of the best clarinet solos in recorded jazz, to my mind.

This is defenatly not roppolo, This is the same version of that is on the 80'th anniversary box set of RCA victor jazz. It lists Cordella on clarinet.

Yes. I used to have it on a 45 rpm record but it got lost somewhere many years ago. I thought that Paul Mares was great on it. I seem to remember it had the verse on it too. I'd really appreciate hearing it again.

It's not Rappolo, but Cordella, but it's Rappolo' original solo, played note by note.
