It seems as if the Blackhawks have been drinking since Monday, and for a good reason. STANLEY CUP CHAMPS!!! #OneGoalX2 This is from the rally held in Hutchinson Park/Grant Park Friday morning on a gorgeous, rain-free Chicago day. After an introduction by teammate, and fan favorite until today, Conn Smythe Trophy Winner (#88) Patrick Kane, (#50) Corey Crawford gives his acceptance speech for Team Game MVP Award "The Belt" in a simple, yet profane, matter. He may have received a fine, but I think the crowd & the city of Chicago would gladly chip in to cover it for him for this show of pride for his team's hard work. Kids, earmuffs. Everyone else, turn your speakers up. This is hilarious.
Crowd: MVP! MVP! MVP!
Kane: What's up, Chicagooooooooo?!
Kane: The only reason this day is fun, is because of all you guys coming out and supporting this team. Makes hockey fun.
Spectator Male: He's drunk as f*&%.
Kane: There's a saying I said throughout the Playoffs....
Kane: ...that represents this team perfectly:
Spectator Female: He's waaasted.
Kane: That's hockey, babaaayyyyy!!!!!!
Kane: I got a little present here. It's a trophy we give out after every game: The Belt. I think it should go to the best player in the Playoffs, #50 Corey Crawford.
Crawford: (Holds belt high)
Crowd: CRAWFORD! CRAWFORD! CRAWFORD! COREY! COREY! COREY!
Crawford: F*&%IN' RIGHT CHICAGO!!!!
Crowd: (Goes nuts)
Crawford: Biggest bunch of beauties in the League. F*&%ing worked their nuts off for this trophy. Wooo!!
Crowd: (Goes ballistic)
Crawford: No one will ever take this away from us! We're the Champs! (Holds one finger to the sky)
Crowd: (Madness ensues)
Spectator Female: F*&%in' right!
Spectator Female: Well, THAT was on live TV.
Spectator Male: Oh well.
Team laughs, facepalms, shake heads. Rally continues.
This was seriously amazingly epic. Chicago Proud.
