I can't tell much about the gringos because I wasn't even born when this happened, but I do know that they were against Allende. And I think that their president was Richard Nixon back then... so, I can expect that from Nixon xD
Pinochet may have done awful things as we all know, but he did some good stuff too, he recovered the country from its bad economic status and brought back the foreign inversion which was good. But he killed lots of people.
For me, both did bad and good things. But they should never have been in our history, for the good of our people.
But whos fault was it that Chile became bankrupt? Allendes? No. It was USAs fault, because they dont work FOR democracy, but rather AGAINST it. They punnished Chile for electing a socialist president. And think what you may about socialists, but shouldnt a supposedly democratic nation such as USA accept the outcome of a democratic election in other nations? The gringos clearly did not. "I dont see why we should stand by and let a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people."
I'm sure it wasn't Allende's fault, I'm pretty sure that the guilty were the right-wing economic leaders, THEY were against Allende for being socialist. :(
Interesting video. It's hard to tell who is the good and who is the bad guy in a video like this, or in a situation like this.
I can't tell much about Allende because I haven't read so much about it to be honest. Although he did something good, he 'nationalised' the copper mines, which was the pillar of our economy. But also he brought the country to bankruptcy.
mira es q des mi punto de vista lo q se ofrece es esto o todos vivimos jodidos o solo el 20% de la poblacion vive bien y los demas no viven, que prefieres. es lo que te dicen pero yo creo q existe potencial para desarrollar una estructura en la q vivamos mejor pero renunciando a lujos innecesarios, pero en mi experiencia nadie quiere renunciar a nada, el material es ahora demasiado valioso para el hombre. y si se lograra eso yo feliz ya te digo
