Leo, I just beat GT5 and saw your name in the credits. Pretty sweet.

I'm no expert, but I'm not sure how much fine tuning translates from the track to the street. Race tracks don't have potholes and railroad crossings. Taking a track car to the street is like taking a road car to a rally course. There is just too much surface variation. A street car needs flexibility to handle well on different surfaces.

    But I could be wrong.

I know how much you love NASCAR Leo, but watch the wreck again. Ragan caused his own wreck by trying to run Boris off the track. You can't pin that one on Boris, he was on the edge of the track, and Ragan moved up where there was no room.

Loose [oversteer] IS fast [rotates car 2 turn the corner]. But, your inclination is the way I was taught it. On ovals, set-up [alignment + tilt - camber tilting all tires into the corner, tire stagger - larger diameter on the outside, + other 'tricks' create rotation 2 help turn the car. 'Your inclination' allows u 2 work the car, save the car, + keep it tail first off the wall! On a road course like LimeRock, mostly right hand turns, try a slightly modded-oval setup.

: Anti-sway bars if you want to get technical about it... in a racecar they are adjustable from the cockpit along with brake bias.

: Forums are a good place to start collecting information on parts and there are probably forums for your specific make/model. There is as much bad information out there as good so just use the search feature and look for people posting the most relevant information. Do a lot of research, figure out what does not work based on other's bad experiences. Ultimately street mods are not nearly as stiff or extreme as track mods.

Leo - Can you give a quick explanation as to why a little understeer is good in fast corner entry and exits? My only inclination is that it helps facilitate a slight drift so the car can be pointed out of the corner.

I'm not really a Patrick fan but she drove a solid race and survived a lot of attrition. Anyone could have lost it in those conditions on those tires.
