Hang by Matchbox 20 (cover)

Anybody that knows me or has read my profile know that I believe Rob Thomas to be one of the best songwriters of my generation. He is the person who I place all that I do on his shoulders. I dont want to offend any of my country people, but Rob Thomas allowed me to come out of my shell and start writing music. Even though we dont write the same kind of music, I have a tremendous respect for him and everything he has done to bring his style of music to the forefront. What a great singer and songwriter and I feel like I am a better person, musically and spiritually, for listening to his "preachin" in his lyrics.

Wow..your cover of this song brought tears to my eyes! I agree with everything you say about Rob Thomas, and Matchbox Twenty is one of the best bands our generation has seen. RT deserves every bit of recognition he receives, and you have done this song VERY well!

Thank you very much. I have made people cry before, but not that way. Usually it was someone saying that I suck. But I haven't heard that in years. Thanks again for the comment. I am a huge Rob Thomas fan. Not to take anything away from Matchbox, but he was always the "light" that drew me into the music. I don't think in my life there will ever be another musician quite like RT. I credit him with everything I do. Whether country, rock, blues and so forth. Until Matchbox I never knew good music

@castortroy504 On the album Rob sings most of it, Kyle and Rob sing the chorus together. Kyle has sang the song solo @ shows before.

Awesome job man. Think you could do something else by them when you get a chance? Would love anything except maybe 3AM and You're Gone. Love those songs, but they're what everyone does ya know? Maybe Kody, or Rest Stop, Leave...something lesser known!
