@TWFRS Hey, thanks for the reply =). I'm already on your mailing list and I've just added your facebook, looks like a good source of info/advice, thanks. Watching this, the one thing that I need to improve is my swimming (for a lad who boxes/works as a personal trainer it is SHOCKING!), obviously the whole course will be a challenge but right now I would struggle to keep up with the swimming at all, so the wait is almost a blessing in disguise! Plenty of things I can develop in the mean time!

@aryadoroudian thanks for your interest and it is great to hear from someone who aspires to be a Firefighter. You could try the London Fire Brigade website and visit their 'working for us section. If you are keen to work anywhere in the UK our website's links section (under 'about us') has a list of all Fire Service websites. Our recruitment pages should give you a good overview of what's involved in becoming a Firefighter.

@TWFRS Thanks for replying... but i have another question are there any tips you can give me to become a fire fighter?

@aryadoroudian You will find all of our advice on our recruitment pages - twfire.gov.uk/recruitment. This includes frequently asked questions, information on the selection process and a fitness guide so that you can get to the right fitness levels to apply. All other Fire and Rescue Services should have similar information on their websites too.

Looks great! Shame that others won't have the opportunity to do this for years to come. I started applying at 21 in 2007 and I will likely be closer to 30 than 20 by the time another recruitment drive runs. Will be worth the wait.
