Okay, I give up trying to get this video footage to work right...the camera likes to screw up the last movie file on the mini-dvd, and between that and conversion it reeeeally messes with my files. but...back to the pirogue, I bought the kit from http://www.unclejohns.com/boat and basically had to provide the fiberglass cloth, resin, screws and two 4x8 pieces of 1/4" mahogany plywood, as well as the pieces for the rub rails. not so bad...just time consuming, but very relaxing

way more fun than should be allowed for this price.

needs a little more bracing here and there, but it's gonna be a lot of fun for a LONG time.

  • Sadly, the pirogue perished in the tornado that hit my community back in May. Half of it was found laying in the neighbor's yard, the other half hasn't been seen since before the storm. I guess I will build another one with some improvements that make it safer for a guy of my height/weight.

  • Grrrrrr....was supposed to be a 16:9 format...stupid computer X(
