Fact: Between 1990 and 2000 there were 186 deaths from ADD-ADHD Drugs reported to the FDA MedWatch program, a voluntary reporting scheme, the numbers of which represent no more than 10 to 20% of the actual incidence...

This means that there were as many as 930 deaths or life-threatening injury related to ADD-ADHD drugs.

Even the latest ADD Drug Strattera now has been forced to add a "Suicide Warning" their label. At the time you are reading this, there are class action law suits forming over Liver Failure caused by Strattera.

I took it for about 9 month, I'd be dizzy and sometimes on the edge of passing out

In that 9 month period, i lost about 15 pounds,

It even gave me chestpains sometimes

@honeybunch2k6 Why do kids go on these drugs? Cuz teacher said lil bobby is fidgeting...Or college student needs to pull all nighter. The ADHD and the meds revolve around compulsory ed and the lengthening of school. If you can't handle all this school there are meds for that. ADHD symptoms are the same symptoms of being above average intelligence, and some very smart people just dont do well in school.Our policy is to drug the best and brightest then wonder why china is taking over

@narutodominatesall Maybe you are not genetically predisposed for addiction, but this is a formula for failure. When can you quit. You will need more and more once you build up a resistance. When you get out of college, can you quit, No! Your brain produces less of the dopamines it needs to concentrate. It killed my 22 yr old son. He seemed great until his sophmore year in College. He felt he was a failure, Young adults are the most likely to abuse to be a sucess and please their parents.

@pwg1126 The same happened to me. I was an A student and when I took antidepressant called Citalopram it all fell appart. I failed my studies. MY brain is damaged forever

My 22 yr old son died last Nov 2009 from an overdose of Ritalin (Methylphenidate). He was diagnosed with ADD at age 12. He was an excellent student until his 2nd year of college when he starting dropping classes and spiralled out of control. He tried respiratory therapy school and dropped out. He went voluntarily for treatment in Houston at Memorial Herman Park (PaRC) who kicked him out after 8 days of detox and 2 weeks of in patient. 7 days later he died. I am trying to help others for him.
