Here I create a mold of my face using plaster bandages. I cut them into pieces and then I put on Petrolium Jelly before applying the bandages.

This is the first in a 6 part process.
This part involves using Plaster Bandages to make a mold of my face.
2nd I used a baloon to try and extend the plaster shape to be the same as my head. It only partially worked as the back of the head was 1 1/2 inch too small.
3rd I created a ceramic slip cast of the shape.
4th I put the sculpture into the sculpting stand and extended the shapes for the back of the head and nect and I added the ears.
5th I created a plaster mold of the entire bust. Before drying I started cuts in the soft plaster. After drying I finished cutting into 2.
6th I let the mold dry and after spending many more hours reparing the mold I poured my latex rubber in it.
