A remarkable piece of infrastructure where the cyclist leaves the carriageway and travels to a cycle-roundabout directly below the roundabout for motor vehicles before going up a ramp again to rejoin the carriageway. Located in the "Cycling Utopia" city of Houten, Netherlands. A Cycling Scotland Video.

true, at some points you can't see bikers coming if you're going clockwise. (and yes, on this cycle roundabout you're allowed to go clockwise) (and especially recumbent bicycles)
Houten is #1 cycletown (lol pokemon) in the Netherlands, (maybe Europe/world). Many Engineers go to Houten to learn about its infrastructure. Not only the for bike the infrastructure is amazing, but also for walking and cars.

Houten, cycling capital of the world. Only cycle paths through the city, cars go around it!

Cyclists are using it as a magic roundabout; Houten ought to stripe it as one.

Providing is step 1, and the biggest one

We do have this in the UK in many new towns, such as Stevenage in Hertfordshire, however there are few cyclists using them.
