  • what are the putting on the on the pots? In my class we always use newspaper.

  • It's sawdust. Pine sawdust to be precise. It's extremely flammable at this stage in the firing.

  • where can i get a burner to do this!?

  • well done.

  • That's a little hot pun intended

  • depending on the glaze used the time from kiln to your paper or sawdust can affect the end look of the glaze. For example if you are using a clear raku glaze if you let it stand out of the kiln for some time you can see it crack and add affects to itself. Letting you judge when you want to let it burn.

  • kewl. loved it, very simple

  • Quite slowly you moved them from the oven to the trash can. Doesn't this make them different in color?

And how does the flames affect the end result? We never let them burn, just smoke.

    End result is wonderful!

  • That's it? I want to see the final product! How long do you keep it in the covered cans?

  • ce plm mah? credeam k e o noua melodie raku :))
