I was always fascinated by the Standard clocks. It is nice to see there are people still working with these even when the company doesn't exist anymore. It's part of Faraday.

In the late 70's, my elementary school used the 1942 version of this clock. Once I was even allowed to ring the bells. The clock is now in the town museum.

Thanks for posting this. I assume these clocks were fairly accurate, given the slave clock. How many seconds did they lose/gain per month?

i never measured that; i did get it adjusted to less than a minute a day. it depended on how much time i wanted to spend adjusting the pendulum. its in storage now.
