The AVR-685S offers superb, seamless surround sound thanks to Dolby Digital and DTS decoding up to 6.1 channels.

It delivers 75 watts per channel rated over the full sonic spectrum and 110 watts per channel based at 1,000 Hz. So, when comparing specs, the AVR-685S packs more sound performance than other receivers in this class.

The AVR-685S is the first receiver to offer Component Video Conversion at an affordable price.

The receiver is equipped with 4 inputs for digital sources like DVD and CD, plus plenty of analog inputs for your VCR, TV sound, cassette deck, etc., giving you the ability to reproduce the exquisite sounds and ultra high fidelity from any source.
