What Do You Do When Your Son Goes Away?

I came across a folder, where all of these pictures were saved, on my PC today. In August of 2006, my son and his batallion were deployed for Iraq. Shortly after he went away, these words kept going through my mind; over and over again.

What do you do when your son goes away?
... when your son goes away to war?
You get up each morning, then get down to pray,
for your son, to the Lord you implore.

Please, God, be with him
in his heart, in his mind
in his soul ever day and all night.
I thank You, dear God
for helping raise up my son
to want to fight bad with what's right.

It seems a blink of an eye
since I looked as he tottled,
making steps in the sand on the shore,
watching his shadow fall, by the waves in the ocean.
Now, my boy is a baby no more.

Train up a child in the way he should go,
with the Sword of the Spirit and Shield.
Give him ten thousand angels, and a hedge of protection,
for he steps now in sands on a battlefield.
What do you do, when your son goes away?
You give it to God and His Grace.
For, He too, had a Son, who went off to war,
to save all of us from our mistakes.

Be still and know that He is your Lord,
He hears all your prayers... when you cry.
Get down on your knees
and give thanks to your God
... for your boy... for His Son... for your life.

God showed me angels coming down from heaven and are ready at my command they were alot.I think its time for battle in the spiritual realm or somehting.

Prayer is a powerful thing... so is Jesus's command to "... go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." My son was protecting those who had no rights & could not protect themselves. And his words, "...winning them over 1 person at at time, if I have to." Witnessing is a powerful thing too. God Bless
