Read this section before you start the vid!!
Okay I'm really excited because my video was put on the KY autism awarness site. I'll post the link as soon as I can get it! I'm so excited!

The song used in this video is Nick Jonas- A Little Bit Longer.

My little brother, Chandler, has autism. I would say this is kind of a little music video thing, but it's more like a video to show people about Autism. These are just clips I filmed of my brother when he didn't know I was filming, just a typical day. Please embed this on your myspace, or anywhere else if you have a relitive with autism, or know someone with autism.

Autism strikes 1 in every 150 children. Do you even know what it is? To start with, autism usually is found in your first 3 years of living. It usually effects communication skills, social skills, and learning skills but it can effect alot more than just that. Autism causes kids to experience the world differently from the way most other kids do. It's hard for kids with autism to talk with other people and express themselves using words. Kids who have autism usually keep to themselves and many can't communicate without special help. But thats not with all children with autism. My brother has a High Functioning Autism which means he's very social, and loves to talk. Just because he's social DOESN'T mean he doesn't have autism! Autism causes kids to act in unusual ways. They might flap their hands, say certain words over and over, have temper tantrums, or play only with one particular toy. Most kids with autism don't like changes in routines. They like to stay on a schedule that is always the same. They also may insist that their toys or other objects be arranged a certain way and get upset if these items are moved or disturbed. No one knows exactly what causes Autism, and just because you have it doesn't make you unusual or weird. It makes you special and unique.

♥ I'm a proud sister of a child with Autism. ♥

  • i dont get it laugh out loud !!! but i love your video!!! i just want to know.................. why did you make this video? :) not being rude:)

  • Okay, first of all, if you don't get the video there is no need to post a comment.

I made this video to spread the word about Autism. I wanted people to see life through my eyes, and my brothers more importantly.

This is NOT any reason to "laugh out loud". This is a very serious video, and I was a tad offended while reading your comment.

If you don't know anything about Autism, look online. You can find alot of things about it on Google.

  • very nice video!

  • That was amazing, you did such a great job making that video, and you can tell that you love your brother so much. He is so lucky to have a sister that is so supportive and loving! You should be proud of yourself :)

  • i have aspergers and adhd and an unknown tic disorder but all of us with disablities are just human too

  • You're a great sibling. When I was little my older brother knew I was different and in a way took advantage of that. When I look back on it now it's kind of funny. ;-) That was just my personal experience though. My bro's not such a bad guy. btw happy autism awareness month. When I was little I hardly ever spoke. I found my voice, and so can everyone else with this condition. We just have to try harder that's all. Diversity is the spice of life.

  • @Pianda I'm sure her brother already knows. He's autistic..he's not dumb. Autistic kids just have issues expressing their emotions openly. it doesn't mean they don't know. And yes, her support is as or more important than any autism therapy.

  • @claire123claire you are not a horrible sister. you just need to work a little bit harder because of your asperger's. my son has asperger's and learning to be more tolerant and patient with others is something that he can have trouble with. Don't put yourself down so much. just try and remind yourself to be a little more attentive to your brother when he needs you.

  • You are an awesome big sister for standing up for your brother. he will always need you. My son has aspergers and i'm proud to be his mother. Autism isn't a death sentence, and you are right it doesn't make him weird, it makes him unique. Keep doing what you do. It's very much appreciated. XD

  • @mcgkcc I play big brother too. I'm 18 and my brother has high functioning autism ( he can't talk). I love him to pieces and i know he will never change and hey im happy that my life is not normal although there are days where i ask why us. My mom and I both raise awareness (she's a social worker) and this video is beautiful. To everyone out there you guys aren't alone
